PURPOSE
This article describes how to resolve "APC_016 - Duplicate Transaction" errors.
CAUSE
APC_016 errors can be triggered if the same transaction (with the same merchant reference, amount, and card number) is submitted twice within a five-minute timeframe.
SOLUTION
Ensure the merchant reference is unique for every transaction.
