PURPOSE: This article introduces the main features of the Atomic Portal, as well as access and login issues.
1. What is the Atomic Portal?
The Atomic Portal is the repository of all the transactions that are processed by a given merchant through APEXX.
There are 2 versions of the Portal that exist:
Sandbox: this is a non-live environment, i.e. it contains test data and no actual transactions made by customers
Production : this is the live environment which contains all the transactions made by your customers
2. What are the main features of the Atomic Portal?
There are several key features of the Atomic Portal that allow you to access transaction data, perform certain actions on transactions, create a payment link etc.
NOTE Depending on your set-up with APEXX, not all features will be available to you. Some of the below features require a specific set-up and / or configuration.
Dashboards: This section includes dashboards that provide an overview on your transaction data. You will also be able to download transaction reports from the Dashboard. Further information can be found here.
Transactions : The Transactions section allows you to access, filter and perform some actions (e.g. refund) on individual transactions. Further information can be found here.
Virtual Terminal (Pay and Original Credit): The Virtual Terminal allows you to create MOTO payments (Pay) or credits to your customers (Original Credit).
Pay by Link: You can create customised payment links to send to your customers following a purchase. All links can be customised via the Payment Page Customisation section which is also used to customised your Hosted Payment Page.
Routing Engine: we can create routing rules according to your business needs and enable features such as Cascading and Smart Split.
Revenue Protect: Our latest feature enables you to switch your volumes from one acquirer to the other to protect yourselves against an acquirer outage.

3. Who needs access to the Atomic Portal?
Not everyone in your organisation will need access to the Atomic Portal - this is reliant on the way that your organisation is structured and the roles and responsibilities of your teams. There are 5 roles in the Portal that you can customise to the needs of your organisation.
4. How do I log into the Atomic Portal?
If you do not have access to the Atomic Portal, please get in touch with the main contact for APEXX within your organisation so that they can submit a request to the APEXX Support team. Individual access requests from your organisation will not be implemented if they do not come from the dedicated contact for APEXX.
Once you have been set-up on the Atomic Portal, you will be able to access the Sandbox and/or Production environments. After inputting your credentials, you will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) that will be sent to the email address associated with your Atomic Portal account. Once you have entered the OTP, you will be able to log in.
NOTE
The OTP is only valid for 15 minutes.
If you are having issues receiving the OTPs, please check your Spam / Junk folders or try requesting a new code (you can only request a code every 2 minutes).
For security reasons, if you are not actively using the Portal, you will be automatically logged out after 15 minutes of inactivity. You will then need to log in again.
If you are still not receiving the OTP, try to reset your password.
5. How do I reset my Atomic Portal password?
There are 2 ways in which your password can be reset: via the automated password expiry flow, or 2. via the Forgot Password flow.
- Automated password expiry
To enhance security on our Portal, your password will automatically expire after a certain period of time. You will receive automated reminders on the email address related to your Atomic Portal account. Simply follow the instructions in the email and click on “Update Password”.
- Reset password flow
If you have forgotten your password, you can follow the Forgot Password flow on the Portal login page. You will then be able to add the email address connected to your Atomic Portal account and receive a password reset email.
Once you have received the Forgot Password email, click on “Reset your password” and follow the instructions.
