A failed transaction is a payment request that could not be completed due to a reason other than an issuer or processor decline. For example, a customer may be trying to use a payment card for which the merchant has no contract with their acquirer.

Failed transactions include an error code and a reason message in the API response. A list of the error codes used by APEXX can be found here.
